Neon Drift Circuit
★★★★☆ 4.1
Neon Drift Circuit isn't interested in realism, and that's exactly the point. It's a fast arcade racer where holding a long drift fills your boost, and chaining drifts through a whole corner feels fantastic. Tracks wind through neon cities, tunnels and coastal roads, all lit up like an eighties postcard.
Controls are tilt or tap, and both work well — I preferred the tap setup once I got the braking rhythm down. Car handling leans loose and slidey, which some will love and purists might not, but it fits the vibe perfectly.
The campaign is a bit thin and the unlock grind drags near the end, but moment to moment this is some of the most fun I've had steering a phone. Great for short, loud bursts of play.
What we liked
- Drift-to-boost loop that feels superb
- Striking neon track design
- Works equally well on tilt or tap
